The last year has been quite a journey for us as I am sure the next year will be even more so. It began in late 2010 with God beginning to stir something in us, sensing He might be up to something big in our lives not yet having a clue what that might be...
In January of 2011, Jennifer took a trip with our church to Guatemala. It was a time in which Jennifer was moved and changed. She sensed God wanted us to continue to pursue something more in regards to our ministry in Guatemala not yet know what that might mean. Ben was expecting this moving and stirring in Jennifer to "pass over", but in fact it increased and intensified. We continued to take it one step at a time all the while thinking, praying and seeking the Lord. The next step led us to send Ben down to Guatemala in June of 2011 and see first hand the work there.
After that trip we took time to fast and pray and seek the Lord and the counsel of others in our lives. It was through this time that God made it clear to continue taking steps toward moving our family of 7 to Guatemala! There were many barriers to this move taking place so we laid them before the Lord and prayed for wisdom and direction. And one by one over the past 6 months he has taken care of all of those "barriers".
We continue to follow Jesus step by step and are planning to move to Magdalena, Guatemala in June of this year. Please continue to pray with us as we make all the necessary preparations to move.
