Serving at Twin Lakes Camp

We had the privelge to serve at Twin Lakes Camp for a week sharing about the ministry in Guatemala and encouraging the campers towards missions. It was a great week. Joel and Caleb got to attend as campers and we took Luke and the girls with us. They had a great time. Our friends Chris and Yvette serve there and it was great to spend some time with them too.

Chapel time

They had prayer chapel every morning before breakfast

They had a big game where everyone participated in the morning

One of the beautiful lakes

This is the missionary chapel where I got to share with the campers every afternoon

The lake where they swam

They tied the activities to biblical princples or parables.

We took lots of walks exploring the camp and trails. We were all very tired by bed time!

The girls and Ben went out on the paddle boats

Caleb getting thrown in the lake. If you get a package or 6 letters in one day you get thrown in so Jennifer made sure they got a package!

Planting our First Daughter Church

Ben had the privilege of traveling to Guatemala to be a part of the launch of our first daughter church in Santa Lucia which is a community about 15 minutes from Magdalena. This work is led by Eswin (Pictured Below). He was our barber for several years before coming to know Christ. He was discipled by Ben and attended our Bible Institutes and Pastors School. We are so proud of Eswin, Evelyn and there son Richard and the whole team in Santa Lucia.

Please pray for this new work. Pray for Eswin and Evelyn. Pray for disciples that make disciples.

Carlos Visit

Carlos got to come up for a visit. His main purpose was to visit and fundraise, but we got to hang out and share some fun times together too. He visited and shared in 4 different states, 6 or so churches, and dozens of people. Thanks for those who allowed him to share and hosted him and many other kind gestures. Thanks to those who are now partnering with him in his work in Guatemala. There is still time to support him if you feel so led: https://www.rednuevavida.org/equipomisionero/carlos Check out some pics of his trip below.

Crazy Trip to Georgia and Florida

We took a crazy trip with Carlos and our entire family to visit friends and churches in Georgia and Florida. We drove about 2,000 miles over 8 days and stayed in 5 different places. It was fun and crazy all at the same time. 11 of us in our van with all our stuff. Good times. See pictures below of the adventure. We are grateful for the safety the Lord gave us, that our van worked well, that we got to see lots of friends and share at a church and be with Carlos for the majority of that time. God is good!

Fun times in the van for about 30 hours in total.

Poor Carlos stuck in the van with us and our 8 kids for many hours. Over all the kids did really well though.

The van and first place we stayed somewhere in Northern Georgia.

The boys and Carlos exploring a bit.

Hanging out with our friends the Elsworths, Nick and some new friends.

Sharing and preaching at Piedmont Church.

Time with our friends the Bunsos in Jacksonville, FL

19 between the both families and Carlos together in one house for 2 days was crazy and fun!

Girls played good together and boys hung out together too playing in the pool, video games and basketball.
