Family Summer Fun, Jennifer's Birthday and More

July and the first part of August have been full of activities. Jennifer had a birthday on July 25th. We spent as much time as possible at the pool and parks this summer. I took a few weeks off at the end of July for a staycation to spend some time with the girls before they went back to school. We did the pool, a musuem, movie and a few other things.

Celebrating with the other family members on Jennifer's side.

Pool time...the girls have gotten much better at swimming this summer. We are grateful for the neighborhood pool and the kiddie pools in the backyard ;-)

Jennifer got to sneak away for about 24hrs to celebrate our 28th anniversary.

Musuem with cousin Eliza

Jennifer, Caleb and the girls went to KY where her sister lives to celebrate baptisms of two of Brandi's kids! Praise Jesus!

Summer ends. Sofia and Grace starting 3rd and 2nd grades. Caleb is a junior but refused a picture ;-)

Joel Thomas Kunkel

It's hard to believe that Joel, our 4th boy is now a highschool graduate and getting ready to move on. In less than a month he will be moving to Kansas City to work and take some classes at the college which Levi just graduated from. Levi and Alanna will still be there for 3-4 years more since Levi is doing a masters degree. So Joel will be close to them but living on his own, working and going to school.

Here are some pictures from his recent graduation party. Thanks to those who came out!

We are grateful for all who have poured into him over the years! We are proud of him and excited for what the Lord has in store.

Here a few ways you can be praying for him:
  • For a reliable vehicle
  • Permanent place to live once there
  • To get settled once there
  • Community
Thanks as always for loving and praying for our family!

Luke's 26th Birthday & Mother's Day

Luke turned 26 last week! We can't be that old but yes we are. We attempted to take him to an Indians game (local AAA baseball team) that got rained out but he had fun anyway.

We had fun celebrating Mother's day too. I am so grateful for Jennifer and the amazing Mom she is.

Joel's last Mother's day at home at least for now.

I am grateful for my mom too.
Our moms our great!

Family Visits, Birthdays and More

February 15th, Joel turned 18. It is hard to believe we have another adult in the family. A few weeks later he finished highschool. He is still finishing his culinary class. He has not yet decided on what is next so please pray with us about that. Here are a few pics from the celebration:

In March we have Alanna's Birthday, Sofia's gotcha day (March 4th for both), and Ben's Mom's birthday. We were happy to have Levi and Alanna visit this past weekend so we could celebrate them and spend time together. Here are a few pictures from the weekend:

And of course some park time with the girls and Levi and Alanna while they were here as it was a beautiful weekend.

Here are some pictures of Ben's Mom's Birthday:

We surprised her with a visit from 3 of her siblings which was fun. Here are some pictures of that time together.

Lots of park time since the weather was good there.

Emma loves giving gifts! Many times it is regifting of stuff that is her sisters ;-)

Dirt pudding for Grace's second celebration at Levi and Alannas.

Unfortunately, this trip didn't end so well. We broke down on the way back and we are still in the process of trying to get our van fixed. Please pray for this as it looks like we need a new motor and it is in Columbia, MO. So that makes it more complicated.
